We are also a member of the National Private Duty Association, or NPDA.
The National Private Duty Association enhances the strength and professionalism for private duty home care providers through education and best practices.
NPDA members advocate and practice the following:
Member agencies screen and select caregivers prior to an assignment.
Members hire their caregivers and do not use independent contractors.
Members adhere to state and federal guidelines in employment practices, such as: withholding required taxes, providing workers' compensation, conducting background and reference checks.
Members develop an individualized plan of care along with the client and family.
Members have 24/7 on-call availability.
Members monitor the caregiver services and make regular visits to the client's home.
Members manage all payroll and employee related matters.
